# The Funding Pool 💰

The funding pool will initially be constituted from various sources, including secondary sale royalties, staking investments such as CFT and FRMD, and the operation of a node.

**Secondary Sale Royalties**: Royalties from secondary sales, amounting to 6% of each sale, will be put into the funding pool.

**Investments**: We already have a pool of CFT that we aim to increase overtime to 2 million $CFT in anticipation of CFT 2.0, this will be staked and delegated. Additionally, we will also be investing in $FRMD for staking. All staking rewards will be directed into the funding pool.

**Node Operation**: We will be investing in a setup to run an ICON node, with all profits from this operation contributing to the funding pool.

**Inital cash injection**: As previously mentioned, all DAOs will begin with a certain amount of funding to jumpstart their operations. After the first sell-out, we plan to fund each DAO with $500. This will continue upon selling out across all 4 blockchains, resulting in each DAO having at least $2000 to utilise. (This excludes any funds generated from the funding pool).

### **Below is a break down on how the funding pool and secondary royalties will flow.**

All net profit (total amount - any expenses) from the ICON node rewards, CFT + FRMD staking rewards and any other stream of investments that yield a return will go into a funding pool and distrubuted as follows-

**Crew DAOs**: 50% distributed equally to all 16 Crews (DAOs).

**Team:** 20% to the team, this will help with general operation costs, development and act as a wage.

**M\&M DAO:** 7.5% will go to the M\&M DAO.

**Bonding & USDT:** 7.5% will go towrads self bonding to nodes and building a stables reserve.

**Investments:** 15% will go into a pool that will be used to strategically invest into assets that will boost the funding pool and social aspect of The Crews.

The Crews collection will have a 6% secondary royalty fee, this fee will be distributed as follows-

**Crew DAOs**: 50% distributed equally to all 16 Crews (DAOs). As the collection spans four blockchains, royalties will be received in different tokens. For instance, ICON royalties will be in ICX, and Sui royalties will be in Sui. Consequently, each DAO will host four different assets, each constituting a pool for royalties from a specific chain.

**Team:** 20% to the team, this will help with general operation costs, development and act as a wage.

**M\&M DAO:** 10% will go to the M\&M DAO.

**Investments:** 20% will go into a pool that will be used to strategically invest into assets that will boost the funding pool and social aspect of The Crews.

#### As an integral part of this ecosystem, a portion of the rewards and royalties are reinvested, creating a sustainable growth strategy that empowers the Crews. This thoughtful reinvestment strategy ensures they receive ample funding and opportunities to not only survive but truly flourish in the long term.

We are continually on the lookout for promising investment opportunities and strategies to bolster the funding pool further, if you have any suggestions feel free to reach out, we breakdown more details regarding our investments further down([Investments 📈](/the-crews/investments.md))
